If you’re a musician, composer, or sonic creator interested in exploring improvisation, experimentation, and collaboration, we invite you to:

MIX IT UP: all musics – no limits – a day-long deep dive studio/workshop for musicians, composers and/or sonic creators looking to expand their practice with others.
MIX IT UP: all musics – no limits is produced by Punctum for the 2026 Castlemaine State Festival and guided by experts in the field – supremo central Victorian multi-instrumentalists from the Aryo Seno Ensemble

MIX IT UP is  a special day of improvising, experimenting, and collaborating on music, sound-making and recording.
It also offers a chance to share in the creative processes and sonic influences that shape the work of the Aryo Seno Ensemble – Aryo Hall, Zoë Barry, Justin Marshall, and Kirri Büchler. It will be fun, fearless and full of sonic surprises.

Bring your instrument, come for the fun, stay for the sonic adventure!

MIX IT UP will be followed in the evening by a premiere concert of the Aryo Seno Ensemble at the Phee Broadway Theatre.

MIX IT UP studio/workshop registration of $50.00 includes light lunch, refreshments, and access to a special reduced entry price to the Aryo Seno Ensemble premiere concert.
Register early to ensure your participation. Places are limited.

MIX IT UP and the Aryo Seno Ensemble concert are part of Punctum’s Sonix Series, arising from Punctum’s 2022 – 2024 Expanding Fields of Practice in partnership with Australian Art Orchestra.
